The main story of Ganga Avtran is depicted in a very unique and interesting way based on the kavitt written by Maharaja Chakradhar Singh of Raigarh Gharana.
It’s divided into 6 main scenes.
Each line of the kavitt is set in a particular raag and taal enhancing the mood and theme of that particular scene.
The technique of Kathak dance is woven aesthetically in between the literatures written by Padmavibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj, Shri Yash Malviya and Maharaja Chakradhar Singh, which signifies the glory of the holy river Ganga, it’s character and the challenges this river is facing today.
