Shyam Priya

Shyam Priya is a well-thought-out and culturally rich Kathak production that captures the essence of divine love, devotion, and artistic expression of the Radha and Krishna saga. The choreography is a balanced combination of technique and abhinaya, tandav and lasya, subtlety and vigour.

Set in two parts, the first part is Bada Khyal from Hindustani Sangeet, set in raga Shayam Kalyan and Tal Jhaptaal [10 beats cycle]. The second part comprises of Chota Khyal from Hindustani Sangeet and is set in Ektal [12 beat cycle] and raga Multani.

Shyam Priya is likely to offer the audience an immersive and emotionally charged experience, taking them on a journey through the mystical and enchanting world of Radha and Krishna’s love.
