Virasat Festival is an annual feature of Kalashree for Dance, Art & Yoga founded by Dr. Kavita Thakur an eminent Kathak exponent. Kalashree envisions to preserve the age old classical dance forms of India passed on to us through generations of gurus and performers with the minimum possible changes in the contemporary times.
In its first edition in October 2020, VIRASAT – Kavya Dhara [Digital] aimed at trying to revive the Indian heritage of literature and philosophy of its famous poets through the various classical dances of India. The idea was to resuscitate the essence of rasa, bhava and abhinaya in the classical dances of India.
The Festival was recorded and seeded LIVE on Kalashree for Dance Art & Yoga Facebook Page on the 17th and 18th of October, 2020.
