Swacch Bharat is divided into six sequences.
1. This medley starts with the sholka asto maa sadgamaya and is followed by the gaytri mantra.
2. Swachh Bharat or clean India’s dream was very close to Mahatma Gandhi’s heart. The second scene is a tribute to the Father of the Nation rendered in one of his favourite bhajans vaishnav jan to tene kahiye written by Narsinh Mehta in the 15th century which exemplifies the lessons of empathy, humanity, purity of mind, detachment, truth, morality etc.
3. Yoga is a holistic discipline that leads to healthy body, strong mind and empowered human beings. This scene displays the importance of yoga in human life. Healthy and harmonious approach of one, towards his body and mind, empowered by yoga will definitely add on to achieve clean India.
4. Fourth scene is on the 5 elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.
5. This scene deals with how we are polluting our environment, society, public places with our unethical, unconcerned, careless behaviour and attitude.
6. Mahatama Gandhi’s dream of Swachh Bharat can be attained when we work together on this mission rising above the differences of cast, creed, religion, language and culture. This message is conveyed very beautifully through the inspirational songs on cleanliness of villages to cities, environment, rivers, public places etc. in this particular scene. In between lyrics the technique of classical dance forms is woven in a beautiful, thoughtful and innovative way. This scene inspires people to be a part of this noble mission.
The finale is a celebration of the unity in diversity of our country. Vande Mataram the national song of India is followed by a small tarana. This scene is a tribute to the integration of our country that makes us unique.
We walk together, holding each other’s hands towards a strong and a prosperous nation.
